Some Statistics

There were a total of 8636 TR2's produced from 1954 to 1955.
Out of these 8636 cars, 5182 were exported (the majority to the USA)
Only the first 4002 TR2's had the long door that physically covers the sill.

The remaining TR2's had doors that stopped just above the sill & so the sill was exposed.
This style of production with shorter doors carried on through to the TR3 , TR3a and TR3b

There were a total of 13377 TR3's produced (10032 were exported)
There were a total of 58309 TR3a's produced (52478 were exported).

Out of the 8636 TR2's produced, it is estimated that only 2500 remain in existance. 1800 of these are in America, only about 600 remain in the UK.

Out of these, only a handfull of Long Door TR2's exist which makes it the most sort after TR around.

The TR2 has a 1991cc engine (so that it could compete in the 2 ltr racing class) and should reach a speed of 108mph with 90bhp.

The TR2 is easy to spot has it has a recessed grill. The TR3 has a flush grill and the TR3a has a very wide flush grill
